Upstairs...

Once the steel support for the partial second story is in place, things start moving upstairs.

With corrugated steel subflooring
in place, Terry and Jeff install
the South upstairs walls .

Here, they lift the Spaceframe
panel for the South wall of
our study into place...

...atop the 550 lb. steel I-beam
that spans the living room and
dining room ceilings below.

The walls are temporarily braced.
Moon Mountain can be seen through
the two window openings.

A layer of plywood subflooring is then
glued and screwed to the corrugated steel layer.

Additionl panels extend the South wall to
its full height. A series of square window openings
run across the top of the study and...

...the adjoining guest bedroom/hobby
room. Ultimately, this room will have
the best view of Moon Mountain.

The panels making up the interior walls
are anchored in place with screws.

The second story is seen here from the driveway.
Foam panels that will insulate the roof
have been temporarily stored in the carport area.

Plywood sheathing is then attached
to the outside of the upstairs walls.
