Floor trusses and pan...

Next the floor trusses and heavy-gauge corrugated steel pan are placed. Along with the beams, these will support 2.5 inches of concrete to form the main floor.

and then cross-braced.

By the end of the day on October 11th, the pan has been welded in place. For the first time, we can now really appreciate the views from the different rooms (here the living room), and survey the countryside for marauding bands of Houstonians.
