Railing and Siding - Smith-Zimmerman home

The pace picks up...

Finally, work is progressing more rapidly as multiple crews do their thing.

A one-man crew named Herb
installed IPÊ railings around
the main open deck.

The railings as seen from the screened deck...
Stainless steel cables strung below the railings
will provide safety without blocking the view.

Sheetrock has been installed, taped and floated.
Texturing comes next. This is a view of
the living and dining areas.
They almost look like real rooms now.

The all-important kitchen.

Corrugated Galvalume siding
is finally being installed,
here on the South wall of the
upstairs guest rooms...

...here, inside the screened deck.
The dogrun can be seen through the
door on the right.

Here, on the walls of Herb's shop/studio.
Stone columns will be installed
at the corners.

More steel has been welded in place,
here for the back deck. Red approves of
the "factory installed" cutout for his doggy door.

Vertical supports for the master deck
privacy wall also are in place.
We approve of these.
