Floor support beams...

Heavy steel I-beams are now placed to provide adequate support for the main floor concrete slab and interior walls.

Once again, we're reminded of how difficult our site is for building with its steep driveway and lack of room for large equipment. Sure will be easy for living though.

By October 3rd, the I-beams are in place.
The floor trusses and concrete pan will be installed next.

By now the upper portions of the walls for the shop have been added.

In the master bedroom area no beams are required, and the floor trusses and part of the concrete pan are already in place.

It appears that Susie is adjusting satisfactorily to the idea of living here.
