A side trip...
We've been impressed with both the quality and installation speed of the Spaceframe system being used for many of our walls, ceilings and floors. When the opportunity arose to visit the Berridge facility in Seguin, we jumped at the chance.
CADD/CAM software is first used to create a 3D model of a building which is then imported into special software that converts the 3D model into precisely detailed frame components. The software then drives a roll former that fabricates the frame components from rolled steel.

The computer-driven roll steel former is capable
of producing over 1000 linear feet
of steel framing members per hour.
